Larkin’s on the River offers Catering to Suit Every Need!

Built in 1847, The Gower Coach Factory, owned and operated by Thomas C. Gower, prospered through the Civil War era-manufacturing field equipment and rolling stock for the Confederate forces and civilians-caissons, wagons, carts, carriages, and buckboards.

The only building remaining of the original eleven, the Coach Factory housed the paint and blacksmith shops, and is presently the oldest commercial building in Greenville County.

Today, through the generous donation of Thomas and Shirley Roe, the building has been renamed the Roe Coach Factory.
